Melvin, you stated that Jordan Felts was the grandson of Humphrey Felts, my records show that he was as you stated the son of John and Mary Felts, but John was the son of Thomas Felts, Sr. and that would make Jordan the great grandson of Humphrey...Humphrey bn abt 1660, Thomas bn abt 1695, John born abt 1720, Jordan born 1751....Thomas Felts, Sr. had three sons, Thomas, Jr., Nathaniel, and John Felts..After all these years, I have found no connection refering to the John Felts, son of Humphrey. It's a chance he might have died young,or moved away as a young man. I just can't verify it. There is a deed in Sussex County, from Thomas, Sr. to John Felts, AND his wife, Mary, she is mentioned also when they move from Sussex County to North Carolina concerning her dowery, I believe by a couple of JP'S from N.C....Hope this helps, Jim Jones
