Dear Felton Cousins. Again this latest posting by Mr. Hemmings is terribly mixed up. The name Felton did not come with a child of Robert LE Strange but rather with the second son of Roger Bertram who was given the village of Felton as his inheritance. The elder brother inherited the Barony of his father. That is where the Felton name came from. As for the Feltons of Great Yarmouth, this is so inacturate that it is unbelieveabel. You need to get your facts straight. I have been there and taken the records from the church they belonged to.The data on Richard is also inacurate. I am in the process of writing a new work on the history of the Felton of both America and England that will be based on the documents that I have obtain from the historical records of both America and
England. John Felton who married Ellen Thrower had three male children who all died in early childhood. Nathaniel was the only surviving son of John and Ellen. Nicholas was not the son of John and Ellen but rather the younger brother of John Felton, and the son of John Felton called the YOUNGER. HE WAS A UNCLE TO NATHANIEL.
