Thanks for your response.Jerry told me years ago that Isham Feltman was the second husband of Sarah Rutledge Gray, but we had been given incorrect information by a very elderly family member who remembered that it was Tom Feltman who was her grandmother's second husband.She was also incorrect about the first name of Sarah's first husband.She was in her late 80's, close to 90 years old when we asked her to tell us the story of her dad's family.After much fruitless searching we have had to face the fact, my aunt had forgotten the correct names.So, we are open to Isham as the second husband.We have begun a second search and hopefully will be able to find documentation.If you find any useful information when you look over your notes, I would really appreciate hearing about it.We did find one good lead that could have possibly been the right man--John Feltman of Walker County.He showed up on the 1870 census with a wife Sarah and a son William, 11 years old.The child was not indicated as having the last name "Gray."
