Just discovered website and seen your message.
My father came from Chitterne in Wiltshire-Alan James
He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters and his father also lived in the village together with three maiden aunts. The family at one time were partners in the local firm Polden & Feltham -blacksmiths etc latterly builders etc up to WW2
I was told that there was another family in the village at that time (late 19thC up to 1940/50s) who couldnt be directly connected as relations but must have been at some time I guess
