Thanks for your reply - I'm afraid my email was incorrect. I also tried to contact you direct but the message failed. My email should have read 'graham_eaton@lineone.net' not 'linone'.
I now have some info from the 1851 census which suggests that our Henry and Ellen might be cousins not siblings. There is the following entry for Nailsea (I think this is the next village to Backwell):
Thomas Feltham 41 Tailor b. Backwell
Elizabeth 41 Tailor wife b. Wells
Ellen 10 scholar b. Backwell
William 8 scholar b. Nailsea
My Henry's family is as follows:
Farley Village, Backwell
Robert Feltham 67 Tailor b. Backwell
Sarah 65 b. Clevedon
Henry 23 Backwell
Francis 19 Backwell
I also have details of other Felthams in the area who are also Tailors and'or born in Backwell, which I can pass to you if you send me your correct email address.
