Aug 1852; Alfred, b. ca. 1854; Carrie, b. ca. 1856; (the first three were born in Illinois), Larry, b. ca. 1858, and Charles, b. ca. 1860 (both in California). In 1860, Alfred and Caroline are found in the Census in Cuba, Lake County, Illinois; in the 1870 Census they are in Milpitas Twn, Santa Clara County, California.
