Hi Nicholas --

We have a family story of inheritance problems related to the coal company - no one now remembers the specific circumstances other than a lot of money went to the attorneys!! Hopefully, my line will actually tie in. I am decended through my mother from:

grandfather: Earl Harvey Felter 1885, Twin Groves Twp., Ks. d. 1973 Eureka, Greenwood Co., Ks. (m. Meda Arstella Condon 1905-1996),

g-grandfather: George Washington Felter b. 1845 Kane, Greene Co. Il., d. 1931 Severy, Greenwood Co., Ks. (m. Hanna Emma Ludy 1851-1909),

g-g-grandfather: Peter Felter b. 1891 NY?, d. 1881 Kane, Greene Co., Ill. (m. Harriet Bramblett 1827-?)

Does this tie into any of your information? I just seem to keep hitting dead ends here.
