I descend from Margaret Melissa Felter, born 1844 in Valley Cottage or Congers or nearby (close to Haverstraw). She married Albert Nickerson and they lived in West Nyack. Her father was George Felter, and her mother was Rachel Polhemus. I don't have dates for them and can't go back any further, but we're obviously in the same family. Interesting that you have a Margaret M. born 1815 (maybe a sibling of George??). Please let me know if you learn more. Many thanks.
