Looked at 1891 census and found William's wife was called Elizabeth. If you got birth cert of Alice could find mom's maiden name and the marriage of william and Elizabeth. Looked at 1871 census and found 3 possible Williams. Could be son of Hugh and Sarah born 1865, Richard and Mary born 1862, or James and Elizabeth born 1866. You really need to find William and Elizabeth marriage cert to find name of father. Hope this helps
