Hi,
I read your post and my grandfather was born in Pfaffenberg Bavaria, Germany his name was Johann Fellner born March 17, 1894. I just started searching for my german family roots so I do not have much to go on. My mother is not sure if he was born some place else. But that most of her siblings were born in Pfaffenberg. She also stated that an uncle on her dad's side left for the states in the 1800's and they never heard from him again.
If this isn't any help goodluck I'm searching to also see if I can find my 3 cousins that were adopted during post ww2.
Good luck with your search
Liz
