John,

I was very excited to see your message. I am from a "lost" branch of the Fellers family and you are the closest connection I have found. Our grandfathers should have been brothers and our fathers should be cousins, although I'm sure they never met. Henry Green Fellers and Mary Ezeta Goldman were also my g-grandparents. Your grandfather, Lesley Dohnam Fellers should have had a younger brother named John Russell Fellers, born 2-3-1923 in Fabens, El Paso County, TX. John Russell Fellers married Anna Louise Bradshaw and had three kids, John Richard Fellers, Raymond Lee Fellers, and Toni Lynn Fellers all born in Baytown, Harris County, TX. I am the second of four children of Raymond. John and Anna were divorced when my dad was about 3 yrs. old and my dad never really knew him. So, while I carry the Fellers name, my dad, Toni and my siblings are the only Fellers I know. (John Richard died young, before I was born.) I have always felt like something of an orphan and always wondered who these Fellers people were. I am just getting started on the history, so I still don't know much. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a couple of questions.

First, according to the research I have done so far, I thought that your g-grandfather Henry Green Fellers' father's name was Henry Jefferson Fellers, born 1/27/1850 and married to Amanda Pippins. Also, I show that he died in April, 1941 in Williamson County, TX. I have seen records for another Henry Green Fellers born around 1845 in NC who married Lydia Arrowood and died around 1879. I believe they are buried together in Mound Cemetery in Mound, TX. I thought this was a different Henry Green and wasn't sure where he fit in. Do you know if there is more than one Henry Green Fellers and do I have them confused?

I heard somewhere(?) that Henry Green Fellers (your g-grandfather) died in Thorndale, Milam County, TX, but I have not been able to confirm. Do you know whether this is true? Also, according to John Russell's birth certificate, he was Henry & Mary's 12th child, although 2 had already passed away before he was born. Any chance you know the names of any of the other siblings? I have been looking through the 1920 Texas census records FOREVER trying to find them. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw that Lesley was born in 1920 in NEW MEXICO! No wonder! I would appreciate any information you could give me. My e-mail address is dfellers@aol.com if it's easier for you to reach me that way.

Thanks,
Diane Renee Fellers
