Wanda - my ggrandfather was Antal Tacz, ggrandmother was Etalka Marzso, Both of Maramaros County, Hungary. They were married in Bustyahaza, Maramaros COunty on January 26, 1880. At some time later, the spelling of our surname changed to Tatz on family documents recording the birth of Antal's children. I can find little information about either spelling, so I cannot confirm any link to your Tautz/Podsim information. Can you shed any light on the vatiations in spelling that seem to be the key to this puzzle?

Norm
