Fell Y-DNA Surname Project
The goal of the Fell Y-DNA Surname Project is to identify Fell families of English origin and determine whether the different family groups share common ancestors.Known family groups include the Fells of Dalton Gate, the Fells of Swathmore Hall, the Fells of Longlands and the Fells of Lismore.Other family groups will likely be identified and a prospective participant does not need to identify with one of the known English groups to join the surname study.
I have set the study up through Family Tree DNA.This is a Y-DNA surname study for males with the surname Fell.Females may test a surrogate such as a brother or father with the surname Fell.Y-DNA tests ordered through the Fell Y-DNA Surname Project at FTDNA will receive a discount on the cost of the test.
Please contact me, Shelli Gordon, for further information about the project and to join me in this quest to learn more about the Fell families of England, to break through genealogical brick walls and discover our shared genetic heritage.
