Lucy Fell dau of William and Ann Fell

Ok, I am a little confused because the researchers from my family line for the Robinsons/Robertsons indicate that a Lucy Fell married John Robinson or Robertson and that they lived in Virginia later moving to Edgefield Dist in SC.

I have looked at the lists of children for William Fell and have not seen a Lucy Fell. However, a search of the LDS site shows Lucy Fell born Aug 24, 1731 in Baltimore to William and Ann Fell registered at St Paul Protestant Episcopal Church. This entry, unlike the others, has a document cited to support the information.

Now for the confusion. The data from Ancestry.com shows a source for William Fell arriving in 1749, 18 years after Lucy is born. I get that he cannot be the Fell referenced in the St. Paul document, but trying to keep the multitude of Williams untangled is not easy.

The search for an Ann married to a William Fell in the window for Lucy's birth is not showing up in the databases. Usually in the family trees, Lucy is listed as the daughter of William Fell and Sarah Bond. Again, I have not found a list of children from these two that shows a Lucy Fell.

I am hoping someone has researched the Fell family enough to help me get pointed in the right direction. I tried to borrow the book, titled I think, The Fells of America, but no one was willing to lend it to the local library.

Thanks,
Charla Helmers
