Books, Jonas, was born in Lower Swatara township, Dauphine County, PA., Jan 4, 1842. He was the son of John and Elizabeth (Ulrich) Books.

Jacob Books, grandfather, was born in Dauphin county. He died at age 56. He was the father of 6 children. John Books, the father of Jonas, was born in Derry township in 1803. He married Elizabeth Ulrich. They had 10 children, 5 died in infancy, 3 died in old age, Levi died in Rockville, PA., and Jonas. Jonas married in 1870 to Esther Meyers, by whom he had 4 children; Elias W., who married Catharine Kinsey, a d/o Samuel Kinsey; Mary Ann; Clara; Esther; and Pierson M.; His wife died in 1884, he married 2nd on March 1, 1893 to Amanda Felker, d/o Joseph Felker of Londonderry township.

Michael Geyer, of Middletown, was born in Lancaster county, PA., Sept. 2, 1853, son of Jacob Geyer. He married Annie Kaufman, of Lancaster county, and their children; Katie, Abram, George, Martha, and Michael.
In 1878, Michael Geyer, married Fanny Kinsey, d/o Samuel of Londonderry. No children.

Samuel Kinsey, born in Lancaster county, Aug 11, 1821, s/o Jacob Kinsey, born and reared in Lancaster county. He came to Dauphin county in 1822. Member of the Dunkard church. He married Cans. they had 13 children; Barbara, Nancy, Sallie, David, John, Jacob,Christian, Elizabeth, Samuel, Mary, Catharine, Susan, and Margaret.

Samuel, married in 1847 to Margaret May, d/o Philip and Susan (Miller) May of Dauphin county, and they had 9 children; David, Sarah, Ann, Fanny, Elizabeth, Margaret, Barbara, Mary, Eli, and Katie.
