There are Fehrenbacher's in many states. There are also two seperate Fehrenbacher families. One is the George C, Joseph, Benhart,Killian and Henry Fehrenbacher's. Many of these apparently still live in Southern Illinois. My Fehrnbacher family are the one who mostly moved to Indiana originally. An Uncle Julius remained in the Newton area. Julius married Ella Fehrenbacher, other than that I find no connection between the two Fehrenbacher's all the way back to the 1600's.

I live just North of Chattanooga, Tennesse, and my children are in Idaho, Mississippi, South Carolina and Indiana.

I'm still searching for some of my ancestors who came over in 1855 with no luck.

Keep in touch

Dick Fehrenbacher
