You seem lost; if I can help I’ll try. You need to find out as much as you can, now were they Feeney's where were they born US or Ireland any dates. The most common Feeney names where William, James, Patrick, John and Kathleen, Bridget, Mary and Sarah.
The main places for Feeney's in Ireland are Sligo, Roscommon, Donegal which is in the north west of Ireland and Immigration was mainly through Derry (Londonderry)or Moville (Donegal) ships going to and coming from US would stop in Loch Foyle at Moville and disembark and embark passengers for either US or Scotland. Many came to Scotland to make money for there fare to the US as work was plentiful here with more money, records are hard to come by as many were destroyed by the troubles when building’s where bombed or burn down and some deliberately by the English anyway that’s another story.

My Feeney’s were attached to family’s Bradley, McLaughlin, Quigley, Butler and Coyle and they came from Carrowkeel and Cabry which is part of Moville upper which is part of Inishowen East Donegal confusing yes! Well Carrowkeel and Cabry where townlands you had Moville which had Upper and Lower both ran along the shore of Lock Foyle upper towards Derry from Moville town and lower to the north form the town, Inishowen west and east was the north part of Donegal still confused well I am.
So dates, places, names and as much as you can find out about your family will help more in tracing your ancestor’s.
