I am researching the Feeney's for my wife. Her maiden name is Feeney.
We, my wife and some of her relatives, have her Feeney line back to a James Feeney born in New York, New York in 1830, but I cannot find out who his parents were. And, obviously, I can't get her family line back to Ireland.
I can guess where about in Ireland they are from, but it is still a guess.
We are going to resort to DNA to try to bust through this brick wall.
Does anyone know of an active and popular Feeney project?
This method is kinda new to me.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.
