My Feeneys came from Bartley & Eliza (nee Armstrong) Feeney, possibly Leitrim or Sligo or somewhere there. They had a son named Bartley born about 1866 (Ireland, but where?) We think he had siblings Bridget and Andrew (don't know of others). Bartley (the son) married Catherine (Kate) Wilson in Hamilton, Lanark, Scotland. They had Martin (8 Dec 1890, Hamilton), John (my grandfather, 11 Jan 1893, Blantyre), Patrick (9 Jun 1895, died 16 May 1901, Blantyre), Bridget (19 Apr 1897, Blantyre), Elizabeth Jane (20 Feb 1899, Blantyre), Mary Ann (2 Oct 1903, Bannockburn), Bartley (19 Sep 1905, ? ),Andrew (3 Sep 1907, Bannockburn), Joseph William (30 Mar 1913, Athy, Ireland), Margaret (about 1915, ?, died about 1917 ? ) and James who has to fit in somewhere, and migrated to Canada, and maybe another?. Bartley (born 1905) returned to the family property in Killargue, Leitrim, married Mary Flynn, 6 Dec 1947. On his marriage certificate he and his father were Bartholomew.
It would be lovely if some of this is familiar to someone. Here's hoping
