Dear Michael,
This is a very long short, however, you maybe able to help. My G/G/Gfather, Patrick Feeney, was married in Roma in June 1899 at Roma Queensland Australia and a Thomas Feeney was a witness at his marriage. Patrick's usual place of residence was Dulacca, Queensland. I believe that Patrick came out to Australia by himself but surely Thomas is a relative to be a witness at his wedding. Do you have any information to support my hunches.
Kind Regards,
Helen
