John Feeney is my great-great grandfather. He was born in County Mayo, Ireland on 21 June 1818. He married first Catherine Burns (in Ireland or England, I don't have a marriage record) and had 2 children born in Wolverhampton, England - Patrick William Feeney born 1854 and Margaret (Maggie) born about 1857. The family came to Ohio, but wife Catherine died on the way here or shortly after. John Feeney may have lived in the Mount Vernon, Ohio area before moving to Newark. I know there were Feeneys there, but I don't know what the relationship, if any, is.
John married second, Elizabeth Noonan (possibly a widow?, I need that marriage record too) probably in Newark, Ohio. They had 5 children - 2 infants who died, a daughter Elizabeth "Lyddy" who died at age 7, and 2 surviving children, Anna Marie born 1867, and John F. Feeney Jr. born 1868.
My line descends through John's oldest son, Patrick W. Feeney. I would love to share info with anyone working on this family.
