Hi Everyone,
I am new to this but was delighted to see a reference from Mr. Garrison to my grandfather, Lawrence Reames as being "Lon's cousin". I am assuming it was my grandfather and not my father who was also named Lawrence Edgar Reames, Jr.
My father and grandfather resided in the Oklahoma area most of their lives. My grandfather was a well-known oil man back in the early 60's and had a drilling company called L.E. Reames Drilling Company in Pawhuska Oklahoma.
My grandfather died in 1965 and my father in 1984, both in Oklahoma city. On one site I found reference to my grandmother, his wife, as being Mary Leone and as listed as still living. In truth, her name was Mary Bessie and she died in 1994 at the age of 90.

Anyway, I know that I am related to Cassandra Feeback. As a matter of fact my sister Cassandra, is her namesake.
I believe she was my great grandmother or great-great. Not sure as I am just getting into researching this. I know their family came from the Missouri or Arkansas area, and from what I remember their was an old log cabin in one of those areas still in the 1980's which was linked to the family in some way.
I have also been told there is Cherokee in the REames/Feeback line. As a matter-of-fact, Cherokee is listed on both of my sisters' birth certificates, I suppose at my Father's encouragement.
Anyway, I would like to hear from anyone and to correspond to further research my "ROOTS".
I really enjoy reading about all that everyone contributes, and hope to learn more.
I would also like a copy Mr. Garrison of the letter referencing my wonderful grandfather, Lawrence Reames. It would mean so much to me.
Have a great day,
Cindy Reames
