I am also a descendant of James Fee (great-great-great granddaughter) which makes your wife my third cousin once removed. ( I think!) I'm sorry, but I don't have any more information about the Blackwells than you do--in fact, until now, my records didn't even give James' wife's maiden name. But now my curiosity has been piqued, I will be poking around to find out more about those families. The circumstantial evidence is certainly very strong that Catherine Blackwell who married James Fee was also the Catherine Blackwell in the Robinson's group of settlers in 1825.

The 1851 census of Ontario is now available as online images, although they are not indexed (!), and I imagine others will be, as time goes by. I haven't got through all of Emily Township yet. But if I run across Blackwells, I'll post the infomration. Good luck!
Betsy
