Her mother(Sarah?) died when Catharine was as a young girl ,then she was raised and brought to Canada,(Emily Twp.,Victoria Co.,Ontario). by her mother's sister Aunt Elizabeth "Bitty" Sheridan Fee sometime between 1818-20 a widow of Thomas Fee.Catharine gave birth to 12 children, 1 died at birth, one died at 17.She was one of the Charter members of the M.E. Church at Morris Chapel.Spoken often about a shipwreck during her travels to the new land..7/9/1870 census shows her at 61yo with $8000 in property and $800 personal money,living with Solomon 22,Maria 24,David 16.

In a letter of May 30,1818,W.H. Reed,HM Consul General for the Azores,stated that he had sent 51 shipwrecked Irish immigrants to Halifax on the British Schooner Swift.
Also a shipwreck on 10/02/1818 the Brig "Fame" Captain Hardy from Belfast,Ireland,out 49 days 114 passengers rescued.
The 1900 census Catharine,born June 1808,age 91,a Landlord, says she had 4 children with 3 living??,came to the US in 1819 and lived here 81 years,was her mind slipping?Did she think Ontario was part of the US?

William died from Stomach cancer.Family story says that William was a friend of Montgomery Ward.
