My mother's maiden name was Fedor. Her father, John Louis Fedor, was born in Szirak, Hungary in 1878 or 1879. He may have arrived in NYC in 1902, then went to W. Virginia to work in the coal mines, and then immigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1907. His father, Martin Louis Fedor arrived with him.
