Looking for ANY information re: Montgomery Featherston (b. 1814 Amelia Co, Va. d. 1844, Lynchburg Va) who married first, Susan Snellings in 1836, Chesterfield Co. Issue: Amanda E. Featherston (no further info) and Mercer Featherston (Lt. in Confederate Army, died in battle).
Second marriage to Emily Agee yeilded my ancestor, James Henry Featherston and a dau. Sarah (no further info). Widow Emily Ann, whose family is deeply imbedded in VA, for some reason, leaves children behind and moves to Mississipi where she marries a Rev. Benjamin Lillie (Lilly).
Montgomery's parents were Charles Henry and Elizabeth Short Thornton Featherston(e). Emily Ann Agee's parents were James Agee and Lucy Thornhill.
This is basically all I have on Montgomery - really want to flesh in this generation. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Also, is there some reason why the Featherston and Featherstone forums are not combined? I have both spellings in family records.
