Well, I think I may have solved the problem. First, it looked like a case of two sisters marrying two brothers. So that can really limit the possibilities. I made up an Oblinger (Oplinger)family tree starting with Nicholas Oplinger who you will find as "Claus" with a grave only discovered in the past twenty years with an CO on the stone. Claus Oplinger (1690-1730) x Elizabeth Montgomery Co, PA 5 kids Nicholas Oplinger II Christian Catherine Maria Ann We can set aside the girls. That leaves Nicholas Oplinger II (1712-1786) x 1734 Elizabeth Meyer (1713-1758) of Harleysville; then Lehigh Water Gap or Lehigh Gap as it is today, in Carbon Co, PA Christian Oplinger (1714-1789) x Barbara (1730-1803) of Warwick Twp, Lancaster Co, PA So we concentrate on Christian: He has 4 kids: Susanna Oplinger x 1774 George (feder) Feather (1750-1785) of lancaster and Anna Maria Oplinger x 1781 Peter Feder of Lancaster, PA I have a note that Anna Maria married Peter, the son of Peter. The only Peter/peter combination is Peter Feather (1725-1801) x Maria Appolonia LeVan (1730-1801) of Wenersville, Berks Co, PA and his son Peter Feather Jr (1760-1804) x Mary (c1762-1788) and his second wife 1788 Margaret Van Kenna (1763- ) of Reading, PA where they ran a hotel. Using this, we have Johan Peter Fetters (1784-c1829) x Susanna Berks Co, PA and then Columbus and then Lancaster, OH David (or Daniel) Fetters (1785- ) of Berks Co, and then Lancaster, OH Esther Feather (c1787- ) x 1814 Henry Sharman (1788-1828) of Sinking Springs, Berks Co, PA Esther's birth may have fatally injured Mary and Peter Jr had to marry quickly to have a mother for the little baby. But, There you go. A nice fit. Peter Feather (1725-1801) came over on the Neptune in 1746. He came from "in or near Frankenthal" which is on the west side of the Rhine and just north of Ludwigshaven (Mannheim) Hope this helps. Tom Fetters Notify Administrator about this message?
