Hello again George,
I have been looking through my emails and found that we traded notes before, here is another (the second below) from John Carver.
We (you and I) did talk about Lela Hite, whom I have not seen on line in a while.I must admit that these are as confusing as my Katterman of Berks.Looking again, I am not so sure of the 2nd Peter being married to Oblinger or Levan. but here is the note that seems most recent.
Peter's (Feather Jr.) will, make that an administration. Two names that jump out at me in the list payouts include "Young" Kademan and Jacob Levan, father-in-law, so this wife must be Margaret Levan Feather, so the older Peter's wife was Maria Appolonia Feather
It also mentions another Peter Feather, son of Isaac, could be that 3rd Peter in Reading, PA.
The children of Peter II, having no guardian: William Polly (Maria), Esther, Charles and Anna all under age of fourteen. (though Margaret is still alive!)
Older son: Daniel is petitioner and over age of consent.
Later says Anne, now the wife of Abraham Reisser/Reeser, 1824 when an audit was performed.
"History of the Oblinger-Oplinger-Uplinger Family".The research was done by Wm. H. Rinkenbach about 1964.It is published by Elwood E. Oplinger 82 Liberty street Allentown Pa.My copy came from my wife's mother shortly before she passed away this spring.Peter and George Feather are said to be mentioned in Christian Oblinger's will (Register of Wills, Lancaster, Pa.; Will Book G 1, 598)."George Feder (Feather) was captain of the company of Revolutionary War troops in which his brother-in-law John Oblinger was a lieutenant."It is believed that George and Susanna Feather had a daughter, Elizabeth who was mentioned in Christian's will.Susanna's sister Anna Maria married Peter Feder (Feather), son of Peter Feder.A son is mentioned but no name is known.
