John N. Pfister - b. 2JUL1770, PA

John N. Pfister was born on 2 July 1770, in what is now Bethlehem Twp, Washington Co, PA. I do not know what that area was called before the Revolution, but it
could hardly have been Washington County, since our George was but an obscure planter in Virginia at that time.

John Pfister married Dorothea Hake, born ?, died about 1799 in Washington Co, PA.

Their son (of an unknown number of children) was Jacob Pfister, born about 1794 in (presumably Washington Co) PA. He married Margaret Hewitt on 4 March
1819 in Trumbull Co, OH. Jacob died 12 October 1864 in Trumbull Co, OH

Margaret Hewitt was born 24 October 1798 in Washington Co, PA and died 18 November 1883 in Trumbull Co, OH. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry Hewitt
(14FEB1772, MD - 16FEB1855, Boardman Twp, Trumbull/Mahoning Co, OH) and Esther Simon (2FEB1774, MD - 15JUN1856,Boardman Twp,
Trumbull/Mahoning Co, OH).

NOTE: Trumbull Co split off from Mahoning, or vice versa, at some time unknown to me, hence the compound county name.

Jacob Pfister and Margaret Hewitt had 13 children: Mary Ann, Susanna, Appolinda, Catharine, Felix, John Henry, John Nicholas, David, Esther A., Lydia M.,
Caroline D., Albert, and Leah D.

Jacob and Margaret's daughter, Mary Ann Pfister (29OCT1822, Youngstown, Trumbull/Mahoning Co, OH - 15FEB1889, Bloomdale, Wood Co, OH) married
Levi Simon (21JAN1817, Boardman Twp, Trumbull/Mahoning Co, OH - 23OCT1901, Bloomdale, OH) on 18APR 1844 in Canfield Twp, Trumbull/Mahoning
Co, OH. One of their 12 children, Belenia, was my great-great grandmother.

As an aside, Levi Simon and Mary Ann Pfister were first cousins, once removed.

I am seeking information on the ancestry of John N. Pfister and Dorothea Hake. A Johann or Johannes Pfister/Fister/Pister arrived in Philadelphia aboard the ship
"Lydia" on 19SEP1743. He was 27 years old at the time, so might have been John N. Pfister's grandfather (or even the typical elderly German father, for that matter),
but I have no evidence for that.
