I don't know if this is any connection to your father but I will pass it on to you anyway.
I am researching "Griffiths" from the Lancashire area. My grandmother was Lucy Griffiths and one of her sisters, Clara Griffiths b. 1875/76 married a Fearnley. I do not have too much info but their children were Elizabeth, Ethel, Edith, Ronald and, I believe, George. They are not your father's immediate family, but could possibly be cousins. I have made contact with Elizabeth's daughter who still lives in Manchester area of Lancashire and am waiting for more detailed information from her re: Fearnleys. If anything appears to connect I will let you know.
