Ruth,

Do you have any other information?

Fearnley seems quite common in the Wigan - St Helens area.
I have ancestors in Ashton. All areas are in a 30 mile radius. So a link is possible, but I can't see anything definite from an initial look.

I haven't yet found any other Fearnley researchers in the area. So you're the first.
Do you know of any others or any Fearnley websites.

I've been using Genforum for a while, but only just realised that I had missed the Fearnley forum.

My Fearnley's start at 1817. I've found it hard to go back further. If we have a link I can send you some information.

If you include other surnames in the area, I might be able to provide some appropriate local links?
