Tom,
Delighted to receive your recent response concerning your grandfather, Harry FEARN.
My maternal grandmother, Maud Edith FAIRBROTHER (nee FEARN) was one of Harry's sisters.I'm not sure how much you know about the family in England but I have a great deal if information.Eg Harry was one of 13 children and I have parents and grandparents details. The house that Harry was born in is still standing and directly opposite a Salvation Army Chapel in Church Gresley Derbyshire, where my grandparents used to attend. My mother who is almost 90 years old still lives in the same area as does her brother 88 yrs. They often speak about Uncle Harry Fearn and his emigration to Canada.Appears that because of the bad trip out there Harry was reluctant to return to the UK, however, I'm told that his wife did return and stay with my grandparents on more than one occasion.Several of Harry's brothers served in the First World War and one them Charles died or was killed in 1916.You may also be interested to know that I got the Canadian details (re Princess Street) from my grandfathers old diary.I would love to hear from you again in more detail. My e-mail is WoodfieldB@aol.com
Look forward to hearing from you.
