Andrew Feakes Built most of Old Bexley and Bexley heath between the Wars and afterwards( my Gr Grandfather)and his Son my Grandfather carried on and had a Wallpaper and Paint Shop in Nuxley Rd until 1949
The Feakes were Goldsmiths in London in the 1600s
One Married Mary Wetherell and both had their Coat of Arms Emblazoned on their Shield
If you go to the COLLEGE of ARMS you will see the Feakes Coat of Arms Ihave Copies of it
Robert Feak Goldsmith 1610 _1679 married Elizabeth Fones in America She was from Suffolk and was fleeing as a Quaker to Boston Massachusetts

Christopher Feake son of Edward of Surrey was a Non Conformist and nearly lost his head for defying Cromwell He married Jane of Pauls Wharf London and was THE Vicar of Newgate Prison
