Hello Lee,
I have quite a bit of info on the Faz linage. They came from Azurais, Spain. They then went to the Canary Is. and
from there sailed to then New Spain (Mexico). They were commisioned by the King of Spain to found some cities to the North. The reward was 'nobility' in perpituity for all
decendents. They founded San Antonio, Tx, Corpus Christi, Tx, Jimenez, Mx, Via Acuna, MX and I think one more city.

I have the linage of the first founders that came to Mexico, but I have a gap until my g.g.g. grandfather Luis
Faz, founder of Jimenez, Mx. His son Jesus Faz founded Via
Acuna, Mx. Then along came my grandfather Andres Faz.
His daughter Micaela was my mother.

There are a lot of websites to this affect. You can also follow this forum to the letter and websites that I have posted.

We have some Faz's in Del Rio, Tx, Via Acuna, but most have
scattered all over the World. I have been invited in the
past to reunions in Mexico and Bakersfield, CA.
Good Luck, Primo
Manuel Faz Barrera
