Fay boys migration VT>CA
Seeking family stories of westward migration between 1850 and 1860 or 1861 and 1870. Trying to identify "Murray Boys" and "Fay boys" referred to in family letters April - June 1857 that associate to the Murray, Fay, Thompson, Noble, Brown, Davis et al families residing at North Williston, VT and Richmond, VT. These boys were born c1829-1840, migrating at average age of 23.
Identified children of David A Murray and Amelia Noble to migrate west c1857 to San Mateo, California. In 1857 "Murray boys" bought 400 sheep in Bolivar, MO before heading west with "Fay boys" - Jerome, Joseph, and Enos Fay. Jerome and Joseph were brothers; Enos was married to J&J's sister, Beulah Thompson Fay (cousin). They are Lemuel, Calvin and Rollin Murray.
