Nathan Fay of Chittenden CO, Vt had a pension from the Revolutionary War. He was married in March 1783 in Bennington, VT to Mary Safford. Her brother John Safford made a deposition to that effect stating their parents were Samuel and Mary Safford. This Nathan Fay was a Private and perhaps briefly a Sgt in the troops. He died on 18 Feb 1838 and his wife Mary died on 21 Feb 1843 in VT. The children were named because they attempted to get the arrears money. They were John, Nathan, Jonas, Truman and Polly who was married to a man with the last name of Brownson. I just thought I would post this information because it appears that nobody has joined the DAR on this Nathan Fay's service record.
