BESSIE FAWCETT was born at *Killity, Ireland, in 1810, and died at the home of her son, WM. MANEELY, in Whitebreast Township, January 21st, 1908, about 96 years.
At the age of 18 she was married to JOHN MANEELY, the ceremony being performed at her place of nativity. To them were born 13 children -- five in the old country and the others after their removal to the United States. They moved to this country in 1865, locating in Lacelle, Ill.Later they moved to Youngstown, Ohio, then to Astoria, Ill., and about 40 years ago they came to Lucas County, locating on the farm northeast of town.
In early childhood she united with the Church of England and grew up on that faith. She was a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and a faithful friend. Her husband died in 1887.MRS. MANEELY has always enjoyed remarkably good health, never having been under the care of a physician
until two years ago.She was probably the oldest resident of Lucas County.
"Grandma," as she was familiarly called, is survived by four children -- LIZZIE and WILLIAM, of Lucas; ROBERT, of Albia; and THOMAS, of Rushville, Ill.She also leaves twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The funeral services were conducted last Friday afternoon by Rev. M. Mitchell, and the remains were laid to rest in Fry Hill Cemetery.

*Killity, don't know if there is such a place named in Ireland. Could it be Kilkenny?
