James Fawcett -- Help?

Trying to connect James W. Fawcett (b:Sep. 1844; d:Jul. 5, 1920) to my tree. His wife was Olive B.B. Lynch (b:Oct. 1849; d:Jan. 26, 1909). They had the following children:

William Passavant Fawcett
Thomas H. Fawcett (ref. below)
Irene L. Fawcett
Edgar J. Fawcett; wife Mollie Redman
Nellie Walton Fawcett
Isabella Fawcett

1850 Census: James could be son of Thomas Fawcett, grandson of Thomas & Elizabeth Fawcett. This census shows a Thomas and Anne Fawcett with a boy James W. age 6. Thomas is aged 57; Anne is 47 -- they could be married or they could be brother and sister. William Redman also in same household.

1900 Census: James born Sep 1844 in Pennsylvania; Father was born in England, mother in Pennsylvania.

Other clue: Obituary of Thomas H. Fawcett (son of James) states Thomas is a cousin of W.L. Fawcett (possibly William Lewis, son of Christopher Columbus Fawcett). If cousin means "first cousin," then James and Christopher would be brothers. The age would fit, but I have no record of a James who would be a brother of Christopher. That would also mean he has a sister born just 7-1/2 months later.

Name clue: Edgar (son of James) had a wife named Mollie Redman. Note the William Redman in the 1850 obituary.

Proximity clue: James lived in McKeesport, PA -- same place as my Fawcetts (where I believe there is a connection.)
