Favre Family Genealogy Forum

That's funny- I just got back from surgery myself!! Hope things are well. I have a Marie Louise Fawer July 3, 1833 Bern, Switzerland, about two Marias, Four Freidrichs that may translate to Freds, and a Franz. I just discovered this branch- My maiden is Favre, which back in 1869, my great grandfather, Arnold Gotlieb Fawer came to america, and changed it to Favre. Now, There's about a 300 year lapse on the german/Swiss thing in Switzerland, and then it crosses over into France, about 1500. I don't know about the American cross overs except my great grandfather- I just learned about this part of the family through a famous genealogist who studied the Bern, Switzerland families. Our info matched his, so we went with that as acurate and we have the documentation. The names I have listed are children's names off the main branch, so that means I really haven't been able to study them well. If you feel that they may not be related, still, please keep in contact, we may meet back up down the line- There's not that many Fawer's left in the world! (Well, my branch anyway) Let me know.
