Okay, I am slightly confused as to what you are looking for. You are trying to find out how you may be related to Brett Favre, correct?
You state that your great grandmother was a Pollion and that her brother Ernie was good friends with Brett in school. The only Ernie Pollion I come up with was born in 1958, and Brett was born in 1969.
The name Kneecase is actually spelled Necaise and is an old French surname, originally spelled Nicaise.

I am not sure about the names you gave and thier connection with Brett Favre. It may be that these names are connected by marriage alone. I will check.

This is Brett's direct line of names,
Parent's
Irvin Favre- Bonita French
Names on his mother's side:
(French,Garriga,Hode,Cuevas,Nicaise,Dedeaux,Ladner,Grelot)
Names on his Father's side
(Favre,Spikes,Toomer,Fayard,LaFontaine,Ladner,Fisseau,
Lagarenne)

I do know the names you listed of Carver and Cospelich. I have also heard the name Pollion, but am not sure if these names connect with Brett in any way.
My family is very connected with these names, they all intermaried over the years, and I have been doing extensive research on all the original families of the Ms Gulf Coast.
I will look up some of the names you gave and see what I can find.
