That's why we post messages on this board, we don't have to bother the folks that are not researchers. I have contacted living members of my own family after tracing them but the Favre line was a search I undertook for a friend. Very interesting family line and a LOT of history linked to the Gulf Coast area. Simon Favre has many records here in Mobile, Alabama from the years he lived here, even before Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana became states and the quest has been a learning experience.
As for poking around family cemeteries, the cemeteries I have visited are church properties and most family history researchers never enter the property without finding out if it is open to the public, or getting permission from the property owners or church officials.
This post was meant and directed towards anyone researching the line and is a tool we all use for gathering information.
