Bonnie,
I have some information on Brett's mother. Her name is Bonita French. Her Daddy was Benny(ie) French. He owned and operated Benny French's Tavern. I'm thinking it was in Bay St. Louis. The reason I say this is because my mother, Lollie Fucich, went to high school with Bonita. Mother went to St. Joseph's Academy and Bay High School, and I can't remember where Bonita went. Since my grandmother invented the go-cup, I actually have a water glass with the logo and name of the tavern on it, don't have it handy right now. She must have got it sometime in the 30s or 40s. Anyhow, just adding my two cents. Hope you all find it interesting. BTW, mother said it was a speak-easy at one time.
