I believe that Henrietta Favor of VA and Al was the daughter of William Favor who died in Culpeper County, VA in 1778. She married her first cousin, John Favor, the son of Ann Covington and John Favor who died in Culpeper County in 1789. I think Ann must have predeceased John, because in his noncupative (verbal) will he called his wife Elizabeth and mentioned their daughter who was not yet baptized but who was to be named Isabella.
John and William were the sons of John Favor Sr. and Isabella Randolph. John Favor Sr. died in Culpeper County in 1783, mentioning his deceased son William and living son John in his will which is dated 1779. John Sr. also mentioned in his will that his son John was married to Ann Covington; therefore, Ann must have died between 1779 and 1789, when John called his wife Elizabeth.
John Sr. was the son of John Favor of Essex County, VA. John Favor of Essex County had two wives and sons named John with both of them. His first wife was Mary Wells and their son John was born by 1702, because he was no longer a minor when his father died in 1723. His second wife was Susannah Phillips Meads and their son John was probably born shortly after they got married in 1713. My guess is that the John Favor who married Isabella Randolph was the son of John Favor and his second wife Susannah.
I have documentation for a lot of this information if you are interested. Just send me an e-mail.
