I have a problem I hope I can get some advice/information about the best way to go about solving.
Catherine Pare, born August 24, 1836 in Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Anthony Pare and Catherine Soulliere. She married Francois Lefebre on November 21, 1854 in Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Joseph Lefebre and Madeleine Mercier.
I was given a fairly extensive history of Catherine's ancestors, but I am trying to find out more about her and her marriage to Francois and their family together.
I have reason to believe that they were my GGG Grandparents, who I know as Frank Favor (b. 1834) and Cathering Parrie (b. ABT 1839). They were married ABT 1854. According to census records, Frank was born in France (as were his parents), and Catherine was born in Canada (as were her parents). They lived in Detroit from about 1860 to after 1900.
Although the spellings dates aren't a 100% match, there are too many coincidences to make me drop this without finding proof one way or another. Lefebre is one of the names commonly changed to Favor, and Francois/Frank is a no-brainer.
I am cross posting this in a number of forums. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
