I don't know of a direct connection to the Norfolk Faux's from which I am descended, although they came from Thetford, Croxton, Mundford, Stow Bedon and several other places not so far from Watton. The problem is that there are many gaps in the picture so far deduced by those of us who are researching this.

I assume you know of the 1881 census entry for Alfred, as an apprentice to Alfred Taylor, a tailor of Green Head, Bingley, Yorkshire. There is also an entry for Abraham Faux of Gledhills, Thornton in Bradford, Yorkshire, who was born in Watton in 1835/6, who had a daughter Mary Ann M Faux, also born in Watton in 1866/7. This Abraham is quite likely Alfred's father.
