My Grandfathers birth certificate says Harry Burrell Faux Wickham and his mother was called Eliza Wickham. His mother died in the 50's and the identity of her sons father went with her! We do know however that elizas family lived in either Pawlersperry or Potterspury as my own mother used to visit the relations of eliza. They all assumed that elizas husband, John Luing, was my Grandfathers father until my Grandfather applied for a passport in the 1950s and discovered his birth certificate had no father registered and his name as Faux Wickham!
He changed hiis name by deed poll to Harry Burrell Luing in the 50,s. Thanks for your help.
