I'm interested in the lineage you have for Sallie J. Foree.
Was she by chance the daughter of Judge Joseph Foree and Mary Pierce Marshall?

I am unable to find anything on R.M. Foree except that one Robert Foree attempted to gain license to practice law in the Territory of New Mexico in 1888 along with a Charles Foree, who may have been her brother.

If indeed she married a cousin, that could explain how she maintained the name "Mrs. Sallie J" during a time when women almost never used their given names

I'd love to hear from you. We talked once before but I have learned more since then.
