Since James Faulkenberry's first son by his first wife was named Meeks, could this have been his first wife's maiden name. Meeks was a fairly common surname in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi in the 19th century.

Any help anyone can offer on this line would be greatly appreciated.
