Hi Joyce - thanks for the reply. I really had a good time in LA, but I did run out of time. I had hoped to get to Henderson to find out about the reunion last spring, but didn't make it there. I did get to the court house and the church in Edgard, the parish seat, and was able to copy some things. Have you ever been to the library in Laplace? Even tho Edgard is the parish seat, all of the gen. info is in Laplace - they have quite a nice collection. Have you ever heard of the papers of Olga Laurent? They were very helpful. I also went to the archieves in Baton Rouge (twice) and to the library and court house in St. Tammany Parish. I had hoped to go to the NO library, the Cabildo in NO and some of the cemeteries, but ther was just not enough time - maybe next trip. Hope to hear from you soon...
