My great grandmother's name was Frances Faucett (B 1854) who lived in Jefferson County Alabama. On the 1870 census she is shown in the household with James and Sarah McCombs. She was 16 yrs old. The spelling on the census was Fossett (I believe). I have her death certificate and it shows Faucett.
Can anyone tell me if she is a sister of Sarah Faucett McCombs? I didn't see her name listed in any of these posts as a sibling, but I believe she must be related somehow. She was called Fannie later in life. She married Lewis Frank Higgenbotham and moved back and forth between Mississippi and Jefferson County Alabama while raising their family.
If she is not a sister to Sarah, (whose father was William Faucett) she must be a niece...could she be the daughter of either Richard or Samuel Faucett (William's sons)?
Any help or info that anyone could provide would be most appreciated!!
